Off Axis are tricky to use, hard to focus, and can vignette a corner of your images, but it virtually eliminates the flexure problem.ĥ. PHD 2 is my choice of guiding software, i use a QHY5L-II monochrome camera and an off axis guider, with an 0.5x focal reducer on the camera. It centers my target in the frame with 1 arc minute precision with one click.Ĥ. I use Astrotortilla, an absolutely remarkable piece of software. My planetarium software is Cartes du Ciel, it talks straight to EQMOD to point my scope to my chosen target.ģ.
